How did I find out I was born with ADHD.

I was penalised by all education establishments as a child for the above symptoms. I couldn’t understand why they were blaming me or bringing me down.

When I first got with my recent ex partner I noticed it in him too but manifested in different ways. He wanted to make money, liked goal orientated activities, because it fed his dopamine levels.

ADHD is all about dopamine.

Its goal orientated behaviour. That’s how I’ve achieved so many qualifications despite a very very traumatic history of abuse and trauma.

I didn’t want to get bipolar disorder, or PTSD and CPTSD, but unfortunately, we are at higher risk of developing further mental health conditions when we are neurodivergent.

Most young people with CPTSD have a parent who is considered narcissistic by society. My dad has both ADHD and NPD and there’s a clear difference between the two although they do look very very similar.

The generation of neurodivergents we have below the age of 30 have more empathy, and it presents differently because we have more coping mechanisms, understanding, awareness now. It’s an environmental change because you’re seeing less cases of abuse as opposed to 50 years ago when if you spoke up on Autism and ADHD you were beaten, institutionalised, and as a result you have a generation of older adults who unknowingly know they’re neurodivergent creating havoc on the world which the younger generations are now picking up the pieces.

Society is in danger in the future because many neurodivergents will develop CPTSD if this continues to happen.

It has to start with the schools. Or even open up schools for neurodivergents only – those with a high IQ.

I found a job in a nursery once for autistic children. The behavioural psychologist who worked at the school sat me down when I was younger and she said “we can’t take you on”. You have Autism and ADHD. You need support yourself before you take on a role like this. Then I always had CPTSD since childhood. I think 🤔 but then developed PTSD in 2018 after a situation I haven’t yet managed to get my voice heard with with the mental health team. It’s hard to decipher between the two but when I’m having “BPD” type symptoms; I relate to the criteria that’s in the PTSD workbook. Also unmedicated ADHD in men carries a higher risk of antisocial personality disorder than any other personality disorder.

I remember getting upset thinking yeah but I was born with it so why can’t they take me on?

My PTSD workbook: Stuck on problematic beliefs.

So yes, I am a little angry 😡 at what Steve put in the letter, because I’m the only one I’ve had to drag me out my hell pit in life, they just decided to label and discriminate against me. Just like childhood.

So I became the change.
