Emotional flashbacks: I find these more severe than standardised PTSD flashbacks sometimes.
Imagine a vivid image of someone who abused you entered your mind and you get this sudden wave of intense fear where you feel like screaming but no words will come out and suddenly you’re a small child again and you start crying for your parents? You were 33 a second ago, and suddenly you’re 3 years old, crying.
And your brain starts to vibrate, then tears fall. And they last about 10 minutes each time and then you start pacing, unable to sleep or eat. A little globus sensation.
The brain feels injured. That’s CPTSD.
